The DownEast Streeters regret to advise that we will not be hosting "An Evening with ..." guest star event this year as our partner in Toronto is not hosting his usual show. We are already looking into long term plans to determine how we can continue with these guest visits and are hopeful that we will be able to offer a show in 2013. We appreciate your continued support and will keep you updated as soon as we have any information.

The Downeast Streeters was on screen in Corrie Crazy, which aired on CBC on December 9 in conjunction with Coronation Street's 50th anniversary. They filmed our summer ping on July 18th including some chats with some of the committee members and some of the ping attendees. We got a couple of minutes' screen time when all was said and done. In addition, two of our Committee members, Diane and Mark were filmed for other segments in the documentary, Diane (and friends) blogged about her experience here and Mark's description of his day with the film crew aboard the HMCS Fredricton is here
Celebrating 50 Halifax Pingfests! April 25, 2010 was the date the Downeast Streeters celebrated our 50th pingfest in Halifax. To mark the occasion, there was cake! We also debuted a new game, based on Family Feud with teams competing in a trivia contest.
